Welcome to the RAYB B League

UPDATE****4/13/18

Rosters and game schedule have been posted for B League. Season start date tentative for 5/15 pending weather and field availability.

Welcome to the 2017 B League Season! We are looking forward to an excellent year and can't wait for this snow to melt and the fields to be groomed for ball!

RAYB B League is a recreational and instructional league for boys and girls who currently are in the 4th and 5th grades. The main goal of B League is to create a fun, positive, inclusive and engaging environment where kids can develop their skills as ballplayers and create great and lasting relationships with new friends.  B League is the first intro to Kid-Pitch baseball. All kids (once they have established the ability to hit the strike zone) will have an opportunity to pitch if they choose to do so.

Games will start in early May played on Tuesdays and Thursdays running through the end of June. There is typically an end of season tournament the week after the 4th of July. Games will be played mostly at Roseville's Evergreen and Owasso Fields with a few games a year played at Maplewood or Little Canada fields. Games are officiated by an umpire.

Practices are usually held on one of the subsequent evenings during the week at the coach's discretion.  Pre-Season practices starting mid to late April are also up to the coaching staff on each team, but can include up to 2-3 per week until the season begins.

Player Gear

RAYB does provide jersey, hat and pants included with your registration fee. You will need to provide glove, batting helmet, batting gloves (opt), baseball cleats (rubber or plastic molded--NO METAL SPIKES). Tennis Shoes okay too. Protective wear ie. cup for boys. The team will each have a few bats but most kids provide their own.

The B League has a parent volunteer requirement.  Each household must volunteer four hours per player with a cap of eight hours per family.  Families can opt out of the volunteer requirement by paying $50 per child (a maximum of $100 per family) at registration.

So What's Next?

UPDATE 4/16/17***** Rosters and game schedule have been added to the B League page. Coaches will be contacting parents soon as practices can start the week of 4/24.
