Welcome to the Senior Travel Program

Thank you for visiting the RAYB Senior Travel Page.

Senior travel is made up of kids ages 14-19. Similar to Junior travel but for older kids.

2020 TRYOUTS for 14U -- Updates will be posted if a playing option can be offered for 2020.

ROSEVILLE JUNIOR & SENIOR LEGION -- UPDATED for 2020!

Senior travel is also affiliated with the Roseville Rosetown Legion teams (one Junior Legion team and one Senior Legion team may be options). It is important to note that the Legion teams operate independently of RAYB.

RAYB works closely with the Rosetown Legion Team Manager in helping with registration and communication through our website. See program information below.

Please contact the Rosetown Rockets Legion Baseball mailbox (rosetownrockets@gmail.com) with any questions.

2020 JUNIOR & SENIOR LEGION TEAM INFORMATION

Senior Legion - age eligibility is January 1, 2001. Anyone born on or after that date is eligible to play Senior Legion baseball. Joe Ponsolle will be the Head Coach for the Senior Legion team. The Senior Legion team will roster up to 18 players.

Junior Legion – age eligibility is January 1, 2003. Anyone born on or after that date is eligible to play Junior Legion baseball. Playing within the Legion program will provide several advantages to the Roseville area players. We will have a formal league for the Junior Legion team, with a regular league game schedule. We will also be able to better coordinate the rosters of the two teams, including double-rostering players who are age-eligible for Junior Legion but able to compete at the Senior Legion level. Mike Ponsolle will be the Head Coach for the Junior Legion team. The Junior Legion team will roster up to 18 players, including those who are double rostered on both the Junior and Senior teams.

Registration and Tryouts
Tryouts for both teams will be combined and held in early May. Additional registration information will be available in April. The tryout fee will be $25 and the team fee for the summer will be approximately $400 (subject to change year-to-year).

All Legion players must attend a Roseville Area School, Concordia Academy, or live within the ISD 623 boundary. Some other exceptions apply but these are the general rules and MN Legion Baseball is strict about enforcement.

Game schedule
Junior Legion league games will be determined in February.  The league schedule will be 12-18 games.
Senior Legion league games will be determined by mid-May.  The league schedule will be 12 games.  Additional games will be added to the schedule for appropriate competition.

For both teams, there will be approximately 28-35 games total (combined league & tournaments).
