Update from RAYB Executive Board

Greetings Roseville Area Youth Baseball Families,

We know that many players (and parents) are anxiously awaiting word as to when we can play baseball. We feel exactly the same way!

The RAYB Executive Board members met on March 19th to discuss the “then current” pandemic guidance, and discussed many possible outcomes for our 2020 season, all of which were based on the limited amount information that we had available to us at that time. The Executive Board will continue to meet biweekly during this time to review and discuss the “current” state of the pandemic and it’s impacts to the season, along with continuing our monthly full Board Meetings virtually.

Unfortunately, with Gov. Walz's latest “Stay Home” executive order and our school district implementing distance learning through May 4th, it is clear now that at a minimum, the start of the RAYB season will be delayed.

Work is still underway in order to kick the season off immediately following the clearance to do so. While we all want to get out onto the fields, the health and safety of our players, coaches, umpires and fans remain the organization’s TOP priority.

We greatly appreciate your support and patience as we continue to work through the multiple scenarios related to the 2020 season. Association-wide emails with updates will be sent every two weeks to keep everyone informed of any new information on the season as it becomes available.

Yours in Baseball,
Roseville Area Youth Baseball Executive Board Members

Cory Schmitt – President
Fabe Roers – Vice President
Sarah Hammes – Rec. League Director
Matt Artzen – Travel Director
Bill Davies – Treasurer
Amanda Mammenga – Secretary
